History of Dragonatia

In the beginning, the gods created the world. The world was only a sphere without light; a ball of darkness. The god Sheera, king of the gods, then made the world something more. He filled it with water and created living creatures to rule the seas. Then he amassed land and created vegitation to cover most of the land and make the air breathable. Then he made the creatures that walk the world. All was good in his eyes. Then he asked the goddess, naradia, goddess of light and heat, to place stars in the infinate expanse of his world's dimension. So she did, and she placed a star for the world to orbit around. Then, Sheera called upon Faror, god of the lunar, and asked him to gove the world light for when night creeps over its surface. So he created the three moons from the world's surface and placed them so they would orbit the planet and control the sea's tides.

But something was missing in Sheera's mind. Something he knew the world wouldn't be able to do without. He called upon the goddess Heleyna, goddess of life and beauty, and asked her what his world was missing. "Sentients," she had told him. "Your world needs more than animals. It needs beings that can reason. It needs creatures that can do good for the sake of the world." So he asked her to change some of the animal races into sentient lifeforms. She obeyed. The first of the sentients were the human race. They were made from dirt of the world and shaped in the image of the gods. Man and woman thus roamed the world. They were good.

Next were the Elves, created in the image of Heleyna specifically. They were made from humans, given ten times the strength, and eternal life. Heleyna granted the elves magic and wisdom and beauty, making them angels in the sight of man. The elves were known as selfless beings, but fearsome enemies.

Then Faror took some of the clay used to make man and created a race in his own image. A race of fearless miners. He called them Dwarves, meaning 'mole-men.' The Dwarves made the mountains their home, digging cities and tunnels all through the mountains. The Dwarves were regarded as the bravest of creatues. The courage granted them a place in the world where none others could stand.

When all was finished, Sheera sat on his throne with the gods and said "All is good in my sight." The gods rejoiced and celebrated on the world Sheera created along with the other races that lived there. The days went on as Sheera and the gods spent time with their creations. each god spent time with each race, so that there was no discrimination. All was peaceful and good.

But like all good things, it must come to an end.

There was one god who felt Sheera's world needed something more. Something that would make his world even more interesting and would give him a job to do. This god was named Sin, god of darkness. For nights, sin planned on how he would make his move. He created a race of beings called demons, creatures of pure evil. Along with the demons, he created diseases that he would unleash into the world and then he would cause rebellion among the races. Once he did that, some of man and the dwarves would go to the underworld for eternity, and some would go to paradise with the gods. He would create war and death. Sin would smile every night he planned.

Then, one day, the gods were attending a meeting among themselves with their world left alone. Sin entered the world in the shape of a man. He spent several days with them, spreading discomfort, racism, and evil thoughts. Man succumbed to evil subconsciously, turning into a race of both evil and good. Then Sin went to the dwarves and did the same thing. The Dwarves kept most of their dignity, but became arrogant in their ways.

Lastly, Sin tried to corrupt Heleyna's holy elves. He took their form and traveled among them, attempting to spread his ways. But they, however, were gifted with much more strength and wisdom than their human cousins. They saw through his ruse and casted him out. Sin was angry, but couldn't harm them as they were gifted with Heleyna's power. He wasn't able to steal their life away. So he feld back to the underworld.

When Sheera and the gods discovered what had happened and were furious with Sin. Sheera noticed the demons and diseases created, so he created angels in response and gave all races immune systems to fight off the infections. He called the sentients rebellion sin, after the god of darkness.

When Sin saw that the races were given immune systems, he created a virus that changed a man into a dark god which survived from drinking other sentients blood. He called them vampires. Many of man was changed and fled to the forests where they made their homes from.

In response to vampires, Faror created a race of men who changed into wolves with teeth that were able to cut through the vampire's indestructable skin. The werewolves were good, but feared by many. They were seen as anamlistic beings that followed instinct rather than reason. Their only mission in life was to end the spread of vampires. Thus the first war was brewing. Uthra, the goddess of war, came to the world, aiding the werewolves against the vampires who were led by Sin. Uthra made a swift victory, but tension always remained between the two races. Many wars came afterwards with Uthra aiding the side that fought for good.

Many thousands of years passed with several new races being born. Mankind and the other sentients grew technologically advanced, using magic to power many of the inventions they created. Many wars came and left. The world was shrowded in darkness, but there was still light. It was just waiting to be found. Over the years, the sentients gave the world a name. It was the Elven name for Sheera; Dragonatia, which mean 'Dragon god.' The gods forever blessed their world, Dragonatia.
